APPLICANTS AND NEW MEMBERS

  1. A  total initiation fee of $150.00, plus annual dues $245.00 ($200.00 club dues $45.00 CSSA membership fee)

  1. A new applicant will pay $75.00 of the total initiation fee, which is non-refundable. In return the applicant will receive an application for membership, copy of the club Rules and regulations, attendance at the Club Level Safety Course and will begin the supervised probationary period.

  1. The applicant should submit a completed application form to the club secretary and will be asked to begin a three month probationary period

  1. The applicant must attend six times to shoot during the probationary period. A new applicant will only shoot under the direct and immediate supervision of a range safety officer or club instructor. Each time the applicant attends at the club to shoot they must have their record of attendance form with them.

  1. The  applicant must have the Range Safety Officer or an instructor  date and sign their record of attendance form each time they shoot. This will provide a record of the applicants six required shoots under supervision.

  1. During the probationary period the applicant must take the approved Canadian Shooting Sports Association Handgun Safety Course as taught by one of the club's authorized instructors.

  1. Applicants must supply a background check as conducted by the Police Service in the area of their residence to the club secretary.

  1. Applicants must possess a valid Possession and Aquisition Licence for Restricted Firearms prior to acceptance for membership.

  1. After completion of the probationary period, attendance at six (6) supervised shoot nights, completion of the approved Handgun Safety Course and submission of their background check, the new applicant is eligible for presentation to the membership for vote of acceptance.

  1. The Instructor, Range Safety Officer will present the new applicant for consideration as a new member during new business discussions at any regular monthly meeting. Regular business meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 8.0 pm. The Range Safety Officer must sign the application and include any required comments.

  1. If accepted for membership the applicant will be asked to pay the balance of their initiation fee and annual dues as set out in Item 1 above. Membership will be finalized and the Secretary will apply for an ATT on the new member's behalf when all fees have been paid.

  1. The secretary will supply the new member their ATT, Name Badge, Membership card and door lock code.
